Contact Center AI releases new custom voice feature
A new perk from Google Cloud for companies' brand management — Google's new Contact Center AI update adds a Custom Voice service. It will allow businesses to customize text-to-speech voices to represent their brand image. A company's spokesperson or voice specialist will read and record Google's provided script, which will allow Custom Voice to absorb and use their voice as assistance.
The model is done manually by Google's team. The process is said to take "several weeks" since it is currently on beta mode. It is also currently limited to "American English."
The company is obliged to follow Google's testing process to evaluate the results once they receive the voice model. Google wants to ensure the AI models won't violate terms and conditions from its internal 2018 AI Principles.
Many predict that this personalized text-to-speech feature will go mainstream, pushing businesses to get creative and distinguish themselves from other companies — this will surely be a game-changer in the digital marketing industry. Customized voices existed in social media marketing before, but this transcends that since it focuses on aiding customer service for businesses.
